How Would Trump's Solar Panel Border Wall Work?

How Would Trump's Solar Panel Border Wall Work?

President Donald Trump suggested placing solar panels at the border wall "so it pays for itself", according to a recent report.

Of course, the idea that solar panels could offset the $25 billion or so in construction costs for Trump's 50-foot wall is far from reality.

Popular Video This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. Most walls, Trump said, are 14-15 feet high, but his envisioned U.S. -Mexico border wall would be nothing like those barriers.

The U.S. government received a similar plan when they asked for proposals earlier in 2017.

Even though Democrats tend to support renewable energy, it's unlikely that an offer to add solar panels would change their united opposition to any money to build Trump's wall.

Trump's suggestion reportedly came during a meeting with GOP House and Senate leaders, including House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), at the White House on Tuesday afternoon. One of the people of who spoke to the Axion cautioned that Trump's idea wasn't the final one for the solution.

Gleason estimated that his proposed wall would cost $6 million per mile to build, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Now a normal person, might look at himself in the mirror, and realize, "Hey, I used a racist and impractical tactic of promising a border wall to get elected president, but now I'm president". "He is continuing to pursue every option to make sure it happens".

"The revenue from the electricity will pay for the maintenance of the wall and the construction of the wall", Gleason told The Daily News.
