OnePlus 5 confirmed to feature a massive 8GB of RAM

Famous tipster Evan Blass has reported that the source code of the listing page on Amazon reveal that the OnePlus 5 will feature a massive RAM. However, this is expected to be a global launch date, as the company has recently confirmed that OnePlus 5 would be launching in India on June 22 in Mumbai at 2 PM IST, according to Gadgets360. "Select fans will also get a chance to purchase the OnePlus 5 at the event itself and own the device before anyone else in the country", the company said in a statement. Previous rumors suggest that the new OnePlus 5 will be arriving on the 15th of June this year but new reports are now claiming that the actual date will be on the 20th of June. This line in the source code seemingly confirms that OnePlus 5 smartphone will indeed feature impressive 8GB of RAM. To illustrate the difference, we took the OnePlus 3 and a OnePlus 5 from our final testing phase to a night club.

Leaked and confirmed details appear to indicate the OnePlus 5 is more of a rival for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus as the two are almost identical. Another leaked image was disclosed by Weibo in which the phone design from back and sides was displayed showing its slim design and horizontal dual rear camera fine-tuned by DxO. We're really curious now as to how the new flagship phone from the Chinese OEM will be better than the OnePlus 3T. The company's confirmation comes a short while after a leak indicated that the company is planning to launch the device on that day. Consumers interested in the OnePlus 5 can enter their email address to receive exclusive news about the device. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a 1920×1080 pixel resolution. A Snapdragon 835 processor is already confirmed. This means the smartphone can rival the Samsung Galaxy S8, Xiaomi Mi 6, and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium-all powered by the same SD835 processor. The device will sport Oxygen, the company's own twist on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

In a snap poll on Twitter in October, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei asked users, "Do you like headphone jacks?"
