BlizzCon 2017: New Overwatch Hero Moira Announced

In accordance with BlizzCon, Blizzard updated its official site with more information on the upcoming Overwatch hero.

BlizzCon 2017 is now in full swing at the Anaheim Convention Center, and Blizzard used the show's opening ceremonies to reveal a ton of new Overwatch goodness. Revealed by Jeff Kaplan at the event, she's come with a brand new trailer, with more details also coming later today. She looks like a bit of an all-rounder.

We already know that Moira is a support character that is capable of both healing and dealing damage. This skill is called Bionic Grasp, and the damaging energy can also heal Moira and restore her energy.

After Overwatch's disbanding, Moira would move her operations to Oasis so that she could continue to fund her research and workings. Her right hand fires a long-range beam weapon that saps enemies' health, healing Moira and replenishing her biotic energy.

Furthermore, Blizzard showed off a new animated cinematic for Reinhardt, one of its more popular tank heroes, focussing on his backstory and his reasons for joining Overwatch.

Much like Reaper, however, she also has her Fade ability, which allows her to teleport across a short distance.

Coalescence- Moira channels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies.

The new map, Blizzard World, is a theme park packed with references to every other Blizzard property, from StarCraft to Lost Vikings. Blizzard World will be a hybrid map, meaning that the first part of the map will be capture point, and after the first point has been captured, will evolve into a payload map.
