Star Wars' Millennium Falcon parked near golf course in England

"My big Star Wars fan colleague walks his dog in this area and he nearly pissed himself when he found out that we were walking next to the Millennium Falcon every day".

And rather than shifting the Millennium Falcon to a galaxy far, far away, bosses at Longcross Studios simply surrounded the movie prop with shipping containers and plastic sheeting.

Han Solo's spacecraft has been snapped on Google's satellite, near Longcross studios in Surrey, ahead of the next instalment.

It is unknown whether the vehicle is being "parked" on the edge of the studios for use in the next film or whether the spaceship will even survive the plot of the upcoming movie.

The Falcon is just off the M3, near Longcross Studios.

But much like the Empire, it looks as though Google Earth has sent its droids out to obtain the Millennium Falcon's last known location.

The Millennium Falcon has played a huge role in Star Wars history, first being owned by Lando Calrissian who lost it in a bet to Han Solo and his trusted Wookie sidekick Chewbacca.

The Last Jedi is due out this Christmas.

It will appear in the next installment of the franchise, The Last Jedi, which is released next month and the last teaser trailer showed Luke Skywalker inside the cockpit for the first time in 40 years.
