Gary Cahill: Chelsea-Liverpool Draw Good for Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Sadio Mane was upset over the position he played during Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Klopp, whose team are fifth and 11 points behind City, said there was no reason for his side to even be thinking about Pep Guardiola's men.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill seemed to agree when asked about this topic.

"I was shouting at [Mane] because he was in the centre".

"He wants to go out there and show how good he is and I think that's his frustration there, from my eyes reading into that".

"If we were in their shoes we'd be delighted with that", he said.

The in-form Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead at Anfield before Willian earned a point for Chelsea as he saw what appeared to be a cross loop over Simon Mignolet in the 85th minute. "But we have some good games coming up and clearly this is a hard place to come. It was important we didn't lose today".

City are unbeaten this season and can restore their eight-point lead at the top in the league when they visit Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

"Look at our run of games, we've highlighted them, we've got every opportunity to pick up a lot of points". In the first half, we were very solid and always unsafe when we had the ball.

Asked about Salah's display, he said: 'I love this player but we can not speak all the time about this player after the game. "We wanted to change the system before the equaliser and the referee didn't allow us".

Langley is not ready to wave the white flag yet and is confident that the Citizens will drop points, meaning the emphasis is on Chelsea to make sure they do not slip up. "We're delighted that we got back into it and it's a shame we couldn't get the three".
