Cooler temperatures on the way

Cooler temperatures on the way

Highs slowly get back into the 60s to near 70 in places by Sunday afternoon.

The compact and potent upper level trough is directly overhead this morning and is helping to produce showers along with some thunder across northeastern Oklahoma.

Sunshine returns during the day tomorrow and the lack of storms will continue right through the weekend.

Skies should be mostly clear overnight as that high slides farther off the coast, and with a light southwest breeze through the night, temperatures won't be almost as cold as they have been the last few nights. Highs are near 50 degrees.

After hours of sunny or partly sunny skies temperatures will likely have had the means to swell to the 60s and 70s by mid-afternoon Wednesday. Pair that with mellow breezes and you might throw open the windows at your home or business

Temperatures are milder, but not too cold. It'll be a dry weekend with mainly sunny skies. Instead, a new area of high pressure should build in and provide us with partly sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday. Another cold front is making its way to Louisiana, and this time, the front should be much stronger. Temperatures will be seasonable and this is a good chance to continue preparing for winter. It won't be a total washout, but showers will be likely especially for the afternoon hours. These showers will last basically all day.

Clouds will begin to clear over the Ozarks through Thursday morning with sunshine by afternoon for everyone.

The first part of December is likely to feature temperatures around or above average, but it may turn much colder the second part of the month. Temperatures will warm to near 60.

Temperatures will be back closer to average for the rest of the week with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
