Datally by Google Launched

Google has launched a new app for its Android users to help them manage data usage on their smartphones. It will also help you learn how you can cut down the data usage by your activity.

By turning on the "Data Saver" bubble, the app blocks background data usage and tracks real-time data usage while using each of your apps. It also offers a directory of nearby Wi-Fi networks, which includes user commentary on their quality. (Google says it is pronounced as "day tally".) The app was tested under the name Triangle in the Philippines only for about five months and released worldwide overnight with no real warning. One of the peculiar things that we noticed about Datally was that it asked permission to create a VPN so that data can be monitored by the app.

Although unlimited data plans are becoming more and more popular in the U.S., the rest of the world still actively relies on cellular plans with limited data caps.

Download Datally now from Google's Play Store.

Understand your usage:- Easily track your data and understand which apps are using the most. So, the next time you open the app, all the notifications will already be sitting there, and no fresh data will be consumed. In some cases, that may including turning off some apps that eat up data even when not in use. And Google argues that the ability to turn off app data usage or ratchet it back could save you a hefty sum.

It was the first time in Pakistan's history that Google launched an application at the same time as all the other countries which shows Pakistani market's growing importance for Google, said Tania Aidrus, chief of staff of Next Billion User project. Google's program also reveals how much data the main app now running in the foreground is using up. Try it out and see if it helps you save on data. It can also find nearby free Wi-Fi for you to use.

The app, which takes up just 6MB of space, is designed for Android users who are limited by monthly data caps on their mobile plans-a limitation that still affects millions of Americans and many smartphone users around the world.
