Prince William delivers George's Christmas list to Santa

Prince William delivers George's Christmas list to Santa

"Love, George", the letter said.

The sweet young prince's handwriting could be clearly seen on the A4 paper as Father Christmas read the letter in front of the Duke of Cambridge and a group of excited boys and girls.

So it was reassuring to discover yesterday that when it comes to asking for Christmas presents George, four, is just like every other small child: he writes a letter to Father Christmas.

There was a long list where George could write what he wanted, but the young royal only had one wish - he asked for a police auto.

The youngster appears to have also circled an option stressing he's been on his best behaviour for the previous year.

Prince William handed over the letter to "Santa" today during his royal tour in Helsinki, Finland.

"I've seen you and I had to give you this letter", William told the market Santa. It's the second day of William's first official visit to Finland.

William pointed to the word "nice" and pleaded his son's case, saying: "But he's been a nice boy, a nice boy".

Before meeting Father Christmas, William went on a walkabout in a nearby park, greeting hundreds of well-wishers who braved freezing conditions.

'He hasn't written down many requests, so I think one request is probably okay, ' William said.

The cute exchange came after the Prince met members of the Finnish Air Force at Helsinki airport. "He's been scrounging off my food the last few years".
