Trump moves back his 'Fake News Awards,' citing high interest

On Thursday The Late Show's Stephen Colbert released a spoof ad asking the President to consider his show in all categories, including "Least Breitbarty", "Fakest Dishonesty", "Dishonestest Corruption", and for "The Eric Trump Memorial Award for Disappointment". The awards ceremony will now be on Wednesday, January 17th.

Trump originally announced last week that he would be bestowing "the most dishonest & corrupt media awards of the year", drawing swift ridicule from late-night satirists like Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, and Samantha Bee.

Amongst countless revelations, the book claims former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon described a meeting between Donald Trump Jr and a group of Russians was "treasonous".

"I get it. There's one viewer that you care about right now and you're being obsequious and you're being a factotum in order to please him, OK", Tapper said on "State of the Union", appearing to reference the president. "Stay tuned!" Trump said. But will he be physically able to give a trophy to someone other than himself?

Cheri Angel responded: "I can hardly wait".

"We should have a contest as to which of the networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me)", he tweeted. Traditional news organizations like the New York Times and CNN are sure to walk away with some prizes, but have been characteristically restrained about their ambitions. TIME corrected that story after a White House aide confirmed that the bust was still in the Oval Office.
