Harvey Weinstein Attacked in Restaurant by Obscenity-Shouting Stranger

Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein got slapped in the face at an Arizona restaurant on new Tuesday.

Steve had gone up to Weinstein, 65, earlier in the evening and asked him to take a photo, but Weinstein declined, a restaurant manager told TMZ.

The assailant, who said that his name was Steve, shouted: "You are such a piece of shit for what you did to these women". The restaurant manager said that Weinstein was polite about denying the request, but Steve claimed that the embattled former studio head was "belligerent".

According to the TMZ report, Weinstein was having dinner at 9pm with his "sober coach" when a patron asked for a photograph. However, video footage later shared by TMZ tells a totally different story.

The incident happened at around 9pm as Weinstein left the restaurant in Scottsdale.

The New York Times reported Thursday that, over decades, Weinstein reached eight settlements with women who accused him of unwanted physical contact and sexual assault.

Over the past few months, over 60 women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein.

After news broke about the attack, Page Six reported that Weinstein and wife Georgina Chapman have reached a divorce settlement.

It was a rare sighting of the perv after he was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women over nearly three decades in October.

TMZ previously reported spotting Weinstein in disguise late a year ago at a central Phoenix restaurant. Weinstein does appear to stumble, in what seems more like confusion rather than the sheer force of the impact.
