Battle For Azeroth Expansion Open For Pre-Order

World of Warcraft will be getting a little bigger this year with the release of Battle for Azeroth expansion, which is set to arrive this summer and is now available to pre-order.

Purchasing Battle for Azeroth will grant players a character boost that can be used on any character and will instantly level them up to 110, the current maximum level pre-Battle for Azeroth.

When you pre-purchase either edition, you will gain early access to unlock four new races, the Void Elf and Lightforged Draenei for the Alliance, and the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren for the Horde. If you're good to go with those requirements, you can begin a quest to unlock the Allied Race. Once unlocked, the Allied Races will be available account-wide, but they have to be rolled on a server with an existing Level 110 character.

The Battle of Azeroth features two new Kingdoms (Zandalar and Kul Tiras), the aforementioned recruitment of Allied Races, a new area called Islands of the Great Sea where you can meet new enemies and battle in groups of three, a 20-player cooperative called the Warfront inspired by the RTS days of Warcraft, new material to infuse your armor with called Azerite, and finally an all new level cap at 120. There's also two versions of the expansion competing for your cash: The Digital Deluxe Edition and the Standard Edition, which retail for £52.99 and £39.99, respectively. These include the Seabraid Stallion (Alliance) and Gilded Ravasaur (Horde) mounts, along with Tottle, a baby Tortollan pet.

Digital Deluxe owners will get a host of goods for other Blizzard games as well.

Battle for Azeroth itself is due for release "on or before September 21, 2018", according to Blizzard.

In Hearthstone, there's a new card back.

The Digital Deluxe Edition throws in a bunch of extra content in addition to the expansion, such a cache of "in-game bonuses" that lets you display your alliance to the Horde or Alliance across Warcraft, Hearthstone, Starcraft II, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch.
