Liverpool star Salah lifts lid on relationship with Jose Mourinho

A profitable loan spell at Fiorentina and two stellar seasons in the Italian capital with Roma - during which he scored 29 Serie A goals - convinced the Reds to bring Salah back to the Premier League.

Salah has certainly delivered for the Reds, with a 28-goal haul across all competitions seeing him set new benchmarks at Anfield and earn widespread praise.

"We also spoke after the match against Manchester United this season and have a good relationship".

'I didn't play for Chelsea when I was here three years ago.

I don't want to seem arrogant.

Mo Salah has surprised many in his first season back in English football.

Liverpool signed the Egyptian for £36.9m in July previous year and he has made a sensational start to his career at the Merseyside club, netting a staggering 21 goals in 25 Premier League appearances.

"But at the end of the day I think it's a bit different than Coutinho".

I've loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for. However, the 25-year-old has now added that there is no bad-blood between the two.

There may be a fine line between confidence and arrogance, but as long as Salah keeps scoring we're sure Liverpool fans won't care what he says about his own displays. "I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen", Salah told FourFourTwo magazine. We, as ex-players who are still big Liverpool fans, want him to keep going - we want him to break all the records goings because if he is scoring goals, it means we're doing the right things. That is and always will be our target.
