Ralph Macchio & William Zabka Are Back for the 'Karate Kid' Revival Series

Both Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are reprising their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence in The Karate Kid sequel series, Cobra Kai.

The actors originally played the characters in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid, which was followed by two sequels, a spinoff, a remake and an animated series. It looks like we may have our chance to find out, judging from the first teaser below for Cobra Kai.

As Daniel and Johnny's lives become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, that sets forth the next generation of "karate kids".

If you've been waiting 34 years for a rematch between Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence, well, it's nearly here. Johnny has been down-and-out the past few years, while his rival has been living a near-perfect life as a auto dealer and family man.

"We do not train to be merciful here", Johnny said. Season 1 of the half-hour comedy is executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and will consist of 10 episodes.

Johnny Lawrence has not been seen on screen since the opening scene of The Karate Kid Part II, when Daniel's teacher Mr. Miyagi saved him from a beating by Kreese as punishment for losing to Daniel. But with some of the story potentially being told from Johnny's perspective for the first time and Daniel's daughter dating the school bully, it's no longer clear who is the good guy and who is the bad guy in this rivalry.

The first teaser trailer for the online series Cobra Kai is finally here.

Now middle-aged men, the two stare each other down on a karate mat once again, with Daniel declaring: "Johnny, you and I, this... we aren't done".

"Johnny, you and I, this, we aren't done", Macchio says.

Cobra Kai also stars Xolo MaridueƱa (Parenthood), Tanner Buchanan (Designated Survivor), Courtney Henggeler (Mom) and Mary Mouser (Freakish).
