Arsenal stun Milan with 2-0 San Siro success

Arsenal without a win in four travel to AC Milan who are unbeaten in 13.

The trend continued following a freaky UEFA ruling which meant Arsene Wenger's side were forced to wear their away kit at the Emirates for the Europa League round of 32 second leg against Swedish minnows Ostersunds.

Since arriving at the Emirates in 2013, Ozil has often been criticised for going missing in the big games, an argument which was used against the 29-year-old during back-to-back defeats against Manchester City. The Armenia global ensured it did not go to waste, maintaining his fine Europa League goalscoring record with a little help from a Leonardo Bonucci deflection.

In the fourth minute of first half added time, Aaron Ramsey made it 2-0 off a brilliant through pass from Mesut Ozil as he rounded Gianluigi Donnarumma before slotting into an empty net. We were more daring in the second half and games like this require courage. "He's a great teammate, a great man and I'll always carry him with me". Amid whistles from the 70,000 plus Milan fans inside San Siro, an inspired Arsenal side showed that if they put in disciplined performances with full concentration then Ozil will quite simply do the rest.

"It was like that with me from the start [of my career]. I feel the most comfortable playing as a number 10 because I've done it since I was young".

Arsene Wenger's side have not won a game since their 3-0 first leg victory over swedish side FK Ostersunds in the last round of the competition.

In the meantime it is up to the rest of the Arsenal team to understand their roles and commit to them with an intensity that has been lacking in recent weeks.

For four games straight, the Gunners have been losing.

But the Arsenal boss also admitted that his team were a bit fortunate not to concede early, which could have led to a completely different game.
