Family of woman beaten to death speaks: 'He took treasure'

The city issued the statement two weeks after Juarez's family and friends and social-justice activists made a mile-long march from the site where he died to Gilroy police headquarters, where they demonstrated and requested to view body-camera footage from the arrest. Officials of Residencial TAO's homeowners association said today that once they were informed of the missing family, they had a security team check their data to confirm the Sharps had been staying there.

More information has been released on the Iowa family that was found dead in a Mexico condominium on Friday.

However, the prosecutor's office did release images of firemen in respirators and contamination suits inspecting the condo's gas oven.

The bodies of the Sharp family - Kevin, 41, Amy, 38, Sterling, 12, and Adrianna 7 - reportedly will be returned home to Iowa on Wednesday.

"We are a family of faith and as we begin Holy Week and approach Easter Sunday, it is our Christian duty and obligation to pray for the soul of Mark Conditt and his family, and we will continue to do that", the family said.

The sister, Renee Hoyt, said the Sharps were scheduled to depart from the Cancun airport last Wednesday and fly to St. Louis on a non-stop flight. "She was a sweet, kind, loving person, just like her name", Johnson said.

March 24: Who was the father of Iowa family who mysteriously died in Mexico?

When the family didn't arrive in St. Louis, family members contacted authorities, she said.

The mum and her four children Nancy, three, Jay, six, Ronnie, eight, and Seren, 11, have lost their possessions and can no longer live in the house in Porthmadog.

"They said it's either the hot water heater or the gas stove", Hoyt said of the possible source of the toxic gas leak.

The relatives chose to wait until Thursday in case the Sharps had just planned to stay an extra day, Weland told ABC News.

The Sharp family, from Creston, Iowa, was vacationing in Mexico and killed by toxic gas.

Paulina Chávez Alonzo, a spokeswoman for the Mexican Embassy in Washington, told NBC News that the government offered its "deepest condolences to the family and friends of the Sharps". Her brother was an athlete who played baseball, swam and hunted.

Kevin Sharp also was an avid stock auto racer, known as "the Sharpshooter" in the local racing scene, and he often competed in events in his neighboring county, friend and fellow racer Cliff Baldwin told the Des Moines Register.

The speedway hosted a vigil for the family on Saturday. Armendariz believes the officers' use of force caused Juarez's death, and said the family wants a second, private autopsy.

"I can tell you one thing about Kevin Sharp: he was a family man".

The family is working on getting the bodies back to US soil for a funeral. Their loved ones say they'll be planning one funeral.
