APC: Why Buhari Deserves To Be Re-Elected In 2019

"He deserves a second term and we are proud that he has yielded and declared his readiness to re-contest the election as Nigeria's President in 2019 in earnest".

This laughable declaration reeks of the unapologetic demeanor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their leader, President Muhammadu Buhari despite monumental failure.

Speaking during his appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today on Monday, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, believes re-electing the President is in the interest of the nation.

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to deal ruthlessly with a former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole for alleged corrupt practices while he was in power.

Adesina said Buhari entertained pleas for him to be president for the past one year before declaring his intention. When he was running in 2011 he said yes he will be a president for only one term but did he win in that year? No. "And I want to assure you is that by the grace of God, Muhammadu Buhari will become president the second time". So, everything is about 2019; there is no hiding that. Obasanjo was president here, he wanted a third term and he didn't get it. "We are not talking to the willfully blind or deaf", Adesina said.

Usman Baba, a resident, told NAN that the past three years of the Buhari administration has been spent restoring security in the country and fighting corruption.

"My attention has been drawn to President Buhari's formal declaration to seek for reelection come 2019".

Minister of communications, Adebayo Shittu, has played down former president njOlusegun Obasanjo's political influence, saying he can not stop Muhammadu Buhari winning in 2019.

His view was buttressed by our Presidency sources who further repeated the position of Mr. President who famously said that corruption is endemic and Nigerians need to kill it before it kills Nigerians.

According to the letter, out of this external borrowing sought by the president, lawmakers' approval was need for the government to issue a $2.5 billion dollar-Eurobond or Diaspora bond in the worldwide market.

"It is just a matter of serving the country and If he feels that he has done it with the best of his ability that is just it, " Adesina said. "His place in history is already assured", Obasanjo said in the public statement.
