It's still early, but Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming together

Additionally, during today's "Space Monkey Report #2" live stream, Beyond Good and Evil 2 creative director Michel Ancel said the development team is preparing many surprises for E3 2018, which runs from June 12 to 14 in Los Angeles.

Civilizations have formed on other planets, but the entirety of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is set in System 3.

The video shares new gameplay footage, including some of the various ways to navigate the world (on foot, by jetpack, in a ship) and some peeks at combat. You can recruit characters from the world to join your crew.

We've finally gotten a bit of Beyond Good And Evil 2 Pre-Alpha footage, and from what we've seen so far, it looks like a really good game. According to the publisher, you can play by yourself or with friends in a vast and seamless online playground. Since then, the developer, Ubisoft Montpellier, has been sporadically showing us updates of what has become an extremely ambitious video game. As revealed in a past demonstration, the game will come with a very robust character creation took, letting you choose one of several "hybrid" species such as monkeys rhinos, and sharks.

A release date and platform (s) for Beyond Good and Evil 2 have yet to be announced.

Some pre-alpha swordplay was shown alongside some work-in-progress footage of Shani swinging her staff. The developers noted that they want to give players more freedom and choices in this Beyond Good and Evil.
