Avengers: Infinity War sets new $1B box office record

If the provisional tally is confirmed, "Infinity War" will become the fastest non-Korean film to achieve such a milestone in South Korea.

Infinity War has received generally positive reviews from critics, and moviegoers gave it an A CinemaScore.

The movie won the domestic weekend box office for a second-straight weekend and now has a domestic total of $450.8 million. This incident took place at Cinehub Multiplex theatre in Proddatur town in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district, where he worked in construction. Infinity War will remain the number one film next weekend with a gross around the $60 million mark.

While Avengers: Infinity War had no trouble breaking the $247.9 million opening weekend record set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, pulling $257.6 million, it dropped too much in its second weekend.

In North America, Infinity War commanded a mighty $112.5million from 4,474 screens, which brought its new total up to a dizzying $451 million.

There was little new competition this weekend, but a few alternative options including the "Overboard" remake, which scored the highest-grossing opening weekend for Pantelion Films with $14.8 million from 1,623 theaters.

In fourth place was STX's I Feel Pretty with an estimated $4.9 million from 3,232 theaters.

The Walt Disney Co. said Saturday that the Marvel superhero saga had earned just under $975 million in global box office through Friday. A big showing in China could help propel Avengers: Infinity War towards the $2 billion mark, a feat only three movies in history have ever passed, Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion), Titanic ($2.187 billion) and Avatar ($2.788 billion).
