Instagram could soon start letting users add music to Stories

Instagram has also rolled out new ways to share moments by allowing the users to post to "Stories" directly from other apps.

In the meantime, all you can do is expect better days ahead as an Instagram user; especially if the Stories feature is one of your favorites when using the app.

Instagram is said to be looking to jazz up Stories a bit more with music stickers.

A new track identification service was also found buried in the code, meaning Instagram could soon display a track's name and the artist behind it.

In the coming weeks, Instagram will also bring video chat to its platform and give friends a new way to spend time together - even when they aren't actually together. Wong also notes that Instagram automatically detected a song she was now playing on her phone, and created a sticker for it. Musical.ly clips are already being shared a lot on Instagram and adding this native music stickers feature could have an impact on Musical.ly's user base, as pointed out by 9To5Mac. Spotted first by a Twitter user Ishan Agarwal, the search for music clips can be refined by going through separate tabs such as Trending, Genres, and Moods.

Instagram has so far declined to comment about the code and hidden feature. Her app reportedly crashed when she tried to.

Recently, Instagram's parent company Facebook has signed deals with some of the largest record labels in the world, including Sony, Warner and Universal.

Facebook-owned Instagram has been hard at work testing and rolling out new features. The feature worked in such a way that users can share their music directly to Instagram Stories from Spotify, and the artwork will appear with an option to play directly on Spotify. With the new Payments feature, users will be able to store their card details and purchase directly from the app without having to leave the app. Though, not available for now, you will be able to make direct payments for things like movie tickets on the app. Unlike WhatsApp, the feature is only for e-commerce purposes and not for peer to peer payments.
