Fortnite gets new burst assault rifles in tomorrow's patch

In this LTM, players landed on the Fortnite map and search for the Infinity Gauntlet, which is the all-powerful weapon wielded by Thanos, the main villain in Infinity War. Downtime begins at 4am ET (08:00 GMT),' Epic Games said in a statement overnight.

Thanos is available in all versions of Fortnite - PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and iOS. The update, which is due to bring an end to the game's time-limited Infinity Gauntlet mode, has had to be delayed due to the discovery of an unspecified error.

Sometimes, weapons are added with none taken out, which may be the case with the Burst Assault Rifle, owing to the fact that the Season 4 update vaulted the crossbows without adding in any new weapons.

While Thanos will be snapping his way out of the game soon, here's hoping that Fortnite crosses over with other big pop-culture franchises sometime in the future.

And with the new release will come patch notes, FYI.

Pundits have predicted a new Burst Assault rifle will be thrown into the mix with the update for PS4, Xbox One and mobile, after being bombarded with hints as they now played Battle Royale. However, the jetpack didn't make it to "Fortnite Battle Royale" as the developers apparently found a design glitch that needed to be fixed.

Epic Games hasn't revealed any details about the item, so no one knows for sure how it works.

Ninja, who recently held a record-breaking Twitch Fortnite stream with Drake, had more than 150million social interactions on Twitter in April.
