STALKER 2 Announced From Original Devs, But Won't Come Anytime Soon

Stalker 2 was originally revealed back in 2010, but it didn't get very far before everything-the game and the studio-fell apart.

Right out of nowhere, GSC Game World studio head, Sergiy Grygorovych, came forth on Facebook and announced that the company is developing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Do you remember S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl?

It feels like forever since the original STALKER was released by developer GSC Game World, but now the developer has finally announced STALKER 2, without much fan fare which is very, very odd.

There's not an bad lot to go on right now, although that probably isn't a surprise considering STALKER 2 is apparently targeting a 2021 launch window.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was then cancelled, and GSC scattered to the radiation-poisoned winds.

The context of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, which occurred on April 26, 1986, is quite interesting as a theme for all types of works. This means that the game probably wont be out for another few years. There also was a follow up title that was fully subtitled game called Call of Pripyat.
